New Dawn Counseling will follow the Issaquah School District (ISD) severe weather closures. If the ISD cancels school, our office will be closed for in-person appointments. Sessions affected by severe weather will take place via teletherapy.
COVID-19 Mask Mandate (updated: 3/12/2022)
Per the WA Mental Health Counselors Association (WMHCA):
"Beginning March 12, 2022 face masks are no longer required in many indoor settings. However masks will still be required in some instances. These include:
Healthcare and medical facilities, including hospitals, outpatient, dental facilities, and pharmacies
Long-term care settings
Public transit, taxis, rideshare vehicles (federal requirement)
WMHCA has reached out to the Department of Health regarding the mask mandates and how it applies to therapists and their clients. At this time the guidance we have received states all health care settings (including therapist's offices) require masks to be worn."
Continued Safety & Cleaning Protocols
My office is still taking the following precautions to minimize the spread of illnesses, including COVID-19:
Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the therapy room.
Areas and items that are commonly touched are sanitized after each use.
Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
The therapy room is disinfected at the end of each day.
