Counseling Services for Teens

Let's Be Real

Hey there!  Can we talk about how hard the teenage years can be?  Various changes mentally, physically, and emotionally; social media and the comparison trap; peer pressure; puberty; hormones; and possibly, your first romantic relationships.  There’s so much going on during these years!  It can feel overwhelming, confusing, and isolating.  You might be processing feelings you’ve never felt before, or have questions about your future that leave you feeling anxious and scared.  Please know, this is completely normal and you're not the only one experiencing it.  Adolescence is a tough time, take it from someone who knows.

Walk and Talk for Teens

Walk-and-talk is a form of psychotherapy while walking outdoors in public places. New Dawn Counseling offers walk-and-talk sessions as an optional treatment modality. Some clients enjoy the experience of movement while talking or feel more comfortable talking side-by-side, rather than sitting face-to-face. Walk-and-talk sessions can be used intermittently or regularly, and may be discontinued at any time.
